Verwijder eerst de borgmoer uit de crank
Draai hierna de cranktrekker stevig in het schroefdraad van de crank
Draai vervolgens de binnenste bout van de crank met een grote inbus richting de trapas
De crank komt zo geleidelijk los van de trapas.
